There are many references to state the church was/is a Nestorian church. But this is very wrong.

..like the church in Turlock which, since the 50s, as I remember seeing, said in bold letters NESTORIAN CHURCH OF THE EAST on their building...naturally these born-again-as-liars lunkheads need to say it was "wrong" when they can´t simply say it never existed, yet..which is what they´ve been saying about each other since before the Arabs came and muzzled them...everyone else and "dumb scholars" especially are wrong...and they have the inside track...because they read a manuscript.

...but let´s play the game...if the church was not founded as a Roman heresy, then it was founded as Roman orthodoxy...either way...it was Roman in origin, just like all the other churches in the world...the only difference being that as heresies or subsects or small "orthodoxies" these people had no army at their disposal to win that religious war, or any one since, including this one.

I believe it is disrespectful if one calls the Assyrian Church of the East (or the church of the east = The Persian church) a Nestorian Church. This name, if not through making contempt but through misunderstanding, was given to the church mainly by outsiders.

..bullshit...the insiders called themselves that for centuries and wrote it, themselves with no help from nefarious outsiders, over their own church doors...you people mix and match hsitory to suit your silly ass agenda of proving your bible correct..which requires that you make it so that Assyrians dumped Ashur and JUMPED into Jesus, of whatever stripe, but yours preferably...we didn´t jump...we were shoved...just as you´re trying to jump history and shove your narrow beliefs down our throats.

Note: had you allowed me more time at your forum I would not have spoken to you as you deserve...it was your choice..and now you know what I meant about the Zulu chief..there is no need to kill people...there is no need to do anything more than confront them with their own stupidity and pride-in-ignorance, if there is time...they´ll take care of the rest for you.
