...during the 30s the Klan had over three and a half million, yes MILLION< sheet-wearing members...in fact they held a rally in the nation's capitol...a scary sight to see that many racists marching down Pennsylvania Avenue with the Capital building in the background.

If we're to decry whippings lets not forget what the Klan did to thousands of Christian Americans who happened to be of African ancestry...just like all Americans who came from somewhere else....Blacks were regularly whipped...many were killed by whippings...and they were castrated, lynched and raped...and the Klan was proud of being a Christian group...they were very proud of it...and they were a legal entity until much later...their members came from all states and reflected all professions and income brackets...they weren't all poor white trash.

It's sad that some Islamic countries, ruled by America's greatest pals: Extremists. revert to such barbaric things as whippings...it's also sad that the United States, along with very few and all of them backward countries, still executes people...the retarded and those who committed crimes as juveniles...not to mention the many innocent people put to death...this is a much bigger crime because it is murder, judicial murder and not merely a whipping.

Remember...it was Cross they burned.
