Let's talk about "where we were" on September 11th, 2001, as if it matters any more than where some poor villagers were in the middle east when we killed thousands of them every day and every week for no reason. Let's talk about "how we felt" on September 11th, 2001, as if our feelings matter more than everybody else's feelings whom we destroy, bomb, rape, murder, pillage, and otherwise torture. I had to turn the radio off today because for days it's just been this non-sense fest. Yes, it's terrible that we were attacked, but to give it such a cosmetic overview, about mundane stories ... how Mr. and Mrs. Smith felt on this day, where they were, rather than examining to the underlying cause (e.g. The United States funded Bin Laden to fight the Russians) is ludicrous. To completely ignore that we invaded Iraq and Afghanistan when over 95% of the hijackers were Saudis is insane. Everything about this tenth anniversary is beyond Orwellian. 'Oumah! (My grandmother tells me that this word, when exclaimed, in our language, means POISON!) --------------------- |
