Brother Jumblat, the reason i asked you for just 1 verse from the Quran where the "Arabs" are referred to as the best of peoples or as God's favorite is because I know it isn't there. I have read the Quran from cover to cover few times in the last 2 years. I recit it daily during my salaats. If there was any such verse in there, I would have been aware of it and others would have used to further attack Islam. I told you that there verses in there that speak of Muslims being the best of the community raised up for mankind and you went and quoted the same one in support of your claim but instead you have simply misunderstood the verse or you are intentionally misquoting it(God forbid). Once again there is nothing racial about the verse and everyone with basic knowledge of the Quran knows that this is the Islamic ummah which is referred to and not the Arabs who at the time were still burying their infant daughters alive as part of their pagan religion. There is nothing racial about the Quran nor the person of Muhammad(pbuh).

I even have spoken with Assyrians who happened to be agnostics and atheists but very nationalistic, and when I called them to embrace Islam they always replied that the problem with Islam is that it is not "pro nationalism" and that is a problem for them since they love their ethnicity more. Every one knows that Islam is not about nationalism but rather piety and action. Ethnicity, language, etc are just beautiful signs from God to reflect on the not for the purpose of discriminating against other fellow human being because of ethnicity, language, color, etc.
