...a federal judge has ruled that Utah can't write bigotry and discrimination into its constitution...because that goes against the federal Constitution...so Gay couples are free to marry there.....as usual the Christians get it wrong, again.... "The president of the National Organization for Marriage, Brian Brown, called the ruling "a travesty of justice." "In a statement, he added, "This trend of vetoing the voters from the bench must be stopped." ...this "trend" is written into our system of government...the Judicial branch is charged, by law, with reviewing EVERY new law passed by Congress and signed by the President, or over his veto, before it can be put into effect...this is not a "trend"...it is part of the United States Constitution..it is the JOB of the judicial branch...and it's been going on since the first days of this Republic.......just because bigoted people want to make their bigotry the law of the land for everyone ELSE as well, and even though they may be the MAJORITY, our wonderful system protects the MINORITY from a tyranny of the majority...it's one of the thing which MAKES us special...as usual, Christians are against common sense and human decency...this is a civil rights issue NOT a SEX issue. ...if you don't think Gays should marry....DON'T MARRY ONE! --------------------- |
