...turns out that the anti-Gay, racist bigots may not even be able to appeal the judges ruling striking down the popular will as being un-constitutional...to appeal to a higher court the anti-Gay people have to show that they have a horse in the race..they have to show that the judge´s order will lead to actual, not fanciful or religiously-driven fears of "harm"...which none of them were able to show at trial....what these people want is to deny equal rights based on their FEELINGS alone....all their arguments, which may sound rational on Bill O'Reiley and Fox, fell apart in court....which is where our laws are reviewed, and not on cable teevee. Only the governor or the attorney general can appeal a legal decision in which they are not personally involved, as officers of the State, and they both refused to do so. Denying all people any right, to marry or work or eat or live where they want, is unconstitutional....doesn´t matter how popular such sentiments might be...if they don´t like the idea of Gay people marrying let them not marry a GAY PERSON! We are a nation of Law...not popular will. End of story. --------------------- |
