I am sure many on here probably heard this typical Assyrian lie that Christianity was somehow always the religion of the ancient Assyrians or something like that. They can't even admit that ancient Assyrians had a different religion so they justify their love for Jesus by saying that Christianity was copied from Mesopotamia. Some even go as far as saying Jesus and his mother were not Jewish which was a reason why the Jews hated them. This is all bullshit of course and no matter how many Ashur's and others with such names I run into and no matter how far they stick their chest out with "Assyrian pride" it ain't long before one sees that all this pride bullshit is wrapped around a cross.

Their lies are of course silly but there is something else that they either ignore or simply don't believe, but there are no records ever of an "Assyrian people" converting to Christianity in 33 AD as they claim. Nobody knows when these people became Christian just like they can't prove they are directly and purely related to the ancients. Just because they speak Aramaic as a language and lived in Iraq, doesn't mean they are Assyrian. They could be Jews for all I know who settled in Mesopotamia after fleeing persecution from Romans and Christians. Their entire history is a lie just as Christian history overall is a big lie. Take a Jewish man who never left his street and turn him into a world savior, and that is so fucked up.

To kill this Jew's real followers, persecute them and then say that Christians were persecuted is a joke. Christians were never persecuted by Romans and, in fact, they were loved by Rome. It was the persecution of Jewish followers of Jesus that Christians are trying to make their history. It was also the persecution of Jews in Palestine that made life easy for Christians and that is how Christianity survived while the original people of the way went to hiding.
