Here is a quote from a Pope Innocent III: "The mysteries of the faith are not to be explained rashly to anyone. Usually in fact, they cannot be understood by everyone, but only by those who are qualified to understand them with informed intellegence. The depth of the divine scriptures is such that not only the illeterate and uninitiated have difficulty understanding them, but also the educated and the gifted." These are Christians and doctors of the religion who are admitting this. So because of this, the Christians become angry at Muslims and others and accuse them of the things which apply to them. There is nothing difficult about Islam. Islam is the opposite because it is easy and simple yet strict to do and follow. Christianity is the other way around because its key doctrines do not make sense, are confusing and mysteries but the religion is easy to follow. The crucifixion of Jesus is the foundation of Christianity and there is no Christianity without it and there is no salvation without it. These are not my words but the words of Christians. Once I was engaged in a discussion with a christian in the library at my unverisity and he told me "if only you Musslims would accept Christ as your lord and your saviour, you guys would be like angels walking on earth". I told him what can Christ do for us which we haven't achieved so far? and the answer was "you have no salvation because you do not accept the blood of Christ". In other words, only with the death of Jesus can one achieve success and be "saved". He ended up getting upset because I refused to accept that and I refused to call myself "saved". That is very common among some Christians that they will argue and expect the Muslim to say "Yes, I am saved" and they will never receive such words from any Muslim because we know that it is God who will decide a person's fate. We know that Allah is mercieful and just but we know it is His decision. For the Christians it is not the same because they become "saved" by accepting the blood of christ. Because we refuse to accept that, we are the big enemies and the Christian world will never stop its hostility and attacks on the Non-Christians until we accept. Yet even if we were to accept, they still wouldn't be pleased with us until we accept a certain denomination or else they'll view us as "false doctrine followers" and not "true Christians". It seems like our friend Minime wants to take matters into his own hands and act as if we are making this up on our own. I know I was a Christian before, I know I understood and knew the main doctrines of the religion and found them to be false and illogical. I am sure Pancho and other were also raised with the same family traditions and prejudices and they decided to seek knowledge for themselves. I love my forefathers but that don't mean that what I inherited from them was true. As Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) once said: "No person is born Christian, Jew or Magian but all are born in Fitrah and it is the parents who turn a child to a Christian, Jew or whatever else. That is why there is no such thing as "original sin" in Islam because all are born pure and innocent. We become influenced by our parents, friends society and even the ice cream man. It is our duty and option to decide to seek knowledge in maturity and take it from there. I am not slandering Christianity nor its doctrines, but just stating what they believe and teach. --------------------- |
