I don;t start a relationship assuming people are liars and not what they pretend to be. I wouldn't ordinarily associate with people I knew, ahead of time, to be devious and dishonest. And so I took assyrians at their word. When they said they were courageous, I believed them. When they said they were "writers" I believed them. When they said they were telling me a real "history", I trusted them. I'm not used to presenting a false image of myself...and I don;t deal with people who do...and who do it as a regular thing.

For that reason it took some time and probing before I realized that these kinds of people fill the assyrian-nationalist movement. They are the heart and soul of it, if you can use such terms to describe such unethical liars and bottom-feeders.
