In the first place the mulaahs in power in Iran and elsewhere were put there with the help of the United States...the Shah and Saddam were bringing their countries along, under all sorts of difficulties the West has forgotten...for one thing Iran and Iraq tolerated Christians and Jews when the West was murdering them both...and even that didn't make peace because next they murder each other, by the millions. ...The hisotry of the Inquisition alone far outsrips in violence anything in Islam. If some powerful country, far more powerful than the United States. let loose the KKK or Arayan Brotherhood, or any of the funtamentalist Christian organization in this country and made it possioble for them to rule...you'd see how quickly every one of you Christians would be rounded up by them and shot outright...these people have already murdered radio disc jokeys and doctors whose politics they don't like...this is exactly what the United States has done in all the countries it meddled in: found the most backwards from among the people, people low enough to sell their own brothers and sisters to benefit themselves...made them the government and then pointed to them as "typical" of the rest. There are Christians in America, as there were and still are in Germany and Europe, who would out-bloody any Muslim alive today. It was only 70 years ago that Christians murdered six million Jews..with plenty of writers and artists among them...and not for doing anything...just because they "killed Jesus"...a lie and slander if there ever was one. And you bring ONE example of Rushdie...and work yourself up into foam and spit??? What of the Fatwa against Iraqi children...over 700,000 of whom were starved to death, by Christians, before they could even learn to read and write books. Think a little.
