On Wasting Time

He read ten pages and said, “Have you nothing better to do”?
I wrote a hundred pages more and he read all “that shit” too.
“You just repeat yourself”… he repeated,
“Why don’t you shut up”, he pleaded.
I wrote ten thousand words more and he read them.
They were only words when I wrote them.
They turned to shit in his mind.
Is it my fault he’s that kind?
