...it's quite a sight watching pundits and newsanchors talking about the trade-off between security and freedom...talking like the situation we find ourselves in was inevitable...that Muslims were out to get us from way back when and, sadly, we just HAVE to get used to the government looking up our arses and reading our email and who knows what else is to come because they HAVE to do all this to keep us safe...as if Islam was a volcano and we could do nothing about its eruptions and Muslims out-to-get-us was there from the beginning of time. No one even thinks to ask "where did this come from"...."when did this start"...."was it always like this" and, f not, "what started it"? Instead everyone is pushing the notions that it was always this way, that there is nothing the West has done to deserve the hatred of millions of people around the earth... Not even so-called progressives ask this question, instead they, even they, go on about "the need to balance security with liberty"...no that's not the issue..the issue is how stupid can you get? How can you so easily be fooled...but then, how did Christians manage to convince themselves that Jews killed Jesus..or that Jesus even existed? The value of religion is that it makes people stupid...makes them distrust FACTS in favor of "favorable opinions", like Taco...we LIKE what we WANT to believe...and want to believe what we LIKE. It suits Americans to believe they have done nothing...nothing except be "exceptional" so that others have become "envious" and want to "destroy our way of life". WE did this...WE brought it about...and it's a bullshit distraction to be quibbling about "is this tyranny"...do we need this much security"...do we have to give up liberty"...No, we have to THINK! --------------------- |
