...of course. The irony is delightful. The assyrians ran, crying all the way, from Iraq because their lands were "stolen"...stolen by Arabs from the "indigenous" people, meaning them. And where did they go? Whose lands did they settle on and build on and live comfortably on today? Exactly as you point out, the lands of REAL indigenous people, from Illinois to Sydney to Toronto to Paris...all land stolen, by Christians no less.

..the hypocrisy and also the weakness of their position, of their claims AND their tears was never more apparent to me till you posted this. I mean I knew none of them were going to "give back" their homes to the Native Americans...but the idea that even THEY aren't aware of the weakness of their claims, that lands "stolen" are owed BACK, is incredible.

...maybe they didn't steal those lands, but they moved right and benefited from the theft...which makes them as guilty as any Arab who "stole" assyria from them.
