...the guy who gets spat upon by his boss all day, comes home to demand unconditional obedience and deference from his wife and terrified kids.

..Maggie, Aprim, Bet-Solomon and the rest feel they have been spat upon by Islam, Muslims, Arabs, Qurds and Turks...they feel disrespected, marginalized, unheeded...their complaints unjustly brushed aside, same with their hopes and dreams...and so they come to the community demanding respect for themselves and their ideas, such as they are. of course there is very little to them or their ideas that is worthy of respect, but the more that is true the more they demand it, else what is left to these "children of Ashurbanipal" who have inflated their own self-worth to ridiculous heights from which they can only tumble (given the slightest push...ahem)?

...and, when Maggie and the rest can't actually get their hands on their enemies, assuming they would ever want to, who else do they have to contend with but each other...who else pays any attention to them?. And so they DEMAND respect, from each other if not forthcoming from anyone else...hence Maggie bans people for being "rude"...for "raising their voices" metaphorically speaking...she scolds and natters the poor widgets because no one else, of any importance and ESPECIALLY not her "enemies" would bother with her or tolerate her lectures and hysteria passing off as "history"....so she makes the only "war" she can...against Youel and Ashur and Aboud and Rukhtapoulitous.

...when assyrians want to reach out and hurt somebody, they turn on each other...because they can't reach any higher or don;t dare to...hell, Bet-Shlimon can't even bring himself to SPELL "Qurd"...that's how terrified he is. We all know about the Marshimmon killed by Simko 90 years ago...but there was a war on then and Qurds were pissed at assyrians for kissing Turkish ass to suit themselves...but we never mention the other Marshimmon, murdered by one of US in 1976....what was the compelling force there...what, he wouldn't STAND UP for assyria...so you kill him???? Simko had a real reason, the assyrian assassin had "assyrian reasons" which are no good reasons at all.

...Maggie fights with fellow assyrians over nothing, really....you'd think the way to win a country is through a Miss Manners handbook. And what about those crucified and raped girls Maggie at other times can't get enough of...she gets to looking more and more like our own Nancy Grace!

...how about DOING something? Isn't it impolite to ignore raped assyrian girls...I mean when you could or should DO something about it?
