There's to be a lecture by a respected philologist regarding Aramaic etc.....and so this fellow writes...

Dear Maggie, lately many scholars, historians and researchers have realized and have admitted that our language is to be called by its proper nomenclature i.e. Assyrian and not Aramaic. The latest is the Swedish professor and Assyriologist Simo Parpola.

...he says "many scholars" and then gives only one...that same old, and tired, Parpola...who tells us Jesus was assyrian too.


If I’m able to attend the mentioned lecture, then the main purpose would be to try to convey in person the above mentioned fact

...it is not a "fact" because it pleases you...there are NO facts that are not based on interpretation, or very few, in this field...there are opinions BASED on facts and those opinions vary widely because interpretations vary widely. You people are constantly looking for anything that will PROVE you are assyrians...and there is no such thing. You thought the Genome project would prove it, and made fools of yourselves...you thought that inscription found in Turkey proved it, and made even bigger fools of yourselves....and there's always Parpola who's been making fools of you all along...

But I like this...this intelligent assyrian is going to attend a lecture just to tell the lecturer the "truth", meaning his opinion, and then, if the scholar doesn't immediately agree with him, he's going to WALK OUT. This is how you get a country too...you make your case, and then you RUN...and never stop calling yourself a fighter and a hero, as you run...like Taco.

to Dr. Geoffrey Khan and explain to him why I refuse to listen to his lecture, and leave the place.
