Actually the west does depose a government which may be good but if it's not cooperative with them. A good example is Iraq right now. The U.S just overthrew Saddam and basically empowered the Shiites and now there is a beef with Iran which is also shiite. Why help the same group of people and then want to fight them next door? They do things we may not understand but they have done it before. If a certain leader is not as good as they thought he would be, they'll remove him quickly. An old man once told me that whoever the west calls its enemy and demonizes, is more than likely the good guy while the ones whom they call good are doubtful.

They only care if that puppet was good his people as long as he is cooperative with them. Saddam was a good example. They empowered him but there came a time when he became a "bad puppet" to them and it was time to move him. HE used them and they used him.
