...there was a time, before the neo-cons, when both public teevee and radio actually probed issues and challenged group-think....but they've been scared off. On PBS they have endless programs on improving your brain power, of all things, plus yoga and back problems and menopause....in an effort to be "balanced", as if there was a fair contest between public radio and the mass media, PBS now has to be "fair", which comes down to actually allowing even MORE air-time to government flacks....the government funds PBS and when the government gets hijacked through lies, PBS goes the same way.
