...who is "we"? You and your cousin? Are "you" now supposed to represent the Assyrian "people"? You really must stop playing games and tricks and just TALK!

wish to make few points clear in order to correct your misleading imagination. 1) We are not, and shall never seek preference to any other inhabitant of the country. 2)We fully understand and symphatize with the conditions that our Iraqi people,(as a whole,)are living under. 3) We love our Country, we respect all God given religions on the land. 4) We harbor no ill-feelings against nobody, except to reject the illegal tempering with our Identity. We are Iraqis, by Nationality, Assyrians by ethnicity, and Christians by religion.

...you may feel that way...but many others don't. You have to remember that if 5000 Muslims live peacefully in Manhattan...but only TEN of them say and do things which make their non-Muslim neighbors nervous or angry...the neighbors will blame and suspect ALL Muslims...enough Christians have said and done enough stupid and treacherous things that NONE of you are trusted..it's too late for these good words.

...you are NOT Assyrians by ethnicity...not even by religion...Christianity is a Jewish sect...an offshoot of the religion of Israel..there isn't anything "Assyrian" about it. Had you REMAINED faithful to Ashur you MIGHT have a case today. But even that wouldn't get you anything...Native Americans, who have a much stronger claim than you have and even have signed documents to prove it, can get nothing ...they can obey the laws of the land like anyone else...no more.

We deserve, under any International Laws - to enjoy equal and legal representation within the framework of the Country's Constitution.

...International Law stops at the borders of a country...no country allows torture WITHIN, does not have it written down as a policy...yet America has legalized torture OUTSIDE...across international borders. It is the laws of each country you must look to for your rights...Afro-Americns had the RIGHT to be equal citizens..the Civil War was fought and over 500,000 Americans died in a war to GIVE them that right...yet after that war they were killed and lynched and shot and raped with impunity and NO white perpetrator was ever brought to justice..even though the laws of America made such acts illegal...do you think Africa could have DEMANDED that the United States treat Africans BETTER? Could they ask the United States to uphold its OWN LAWS and give the equal rights the Constitution now promised? Of course not...International Law could change NOTHING within America's borders..and international law has NO jurisdiction inside of any country.

we need the Authorities concerned, to recognize,respect and protect our people who are weakened, dislocated, and left helpless as a result of the ongoing political power struggle in the country.

....which began as a result of the war brought by Christian nations...Saddam never allowed this to happen...you think you're going to get farther with a Shi'aa majority..or with Kurds than you could have gotten under Saddam...really? Dr Donny George didn't leave because of Saddam..he left because of the violence and degredation and humiliation and lawlessness that Christian nations brought to Iraq.

We reject totally your misconception at will when you mention atrocities of the past - we are sorry we can't admit that. We can't forget what happened during 1933 -

Over 27,000 Assyrian children uder the age of five have been killed through starvation by the policies of Christian nations...yet I never hear ONE of you mention them...you call them, if you ever mention them, "collateral damage"...you say these things "happen" in war or conflicts...by your own words then I say things like Semele "happen" and those 3000 were "nothing more than collateral damage"...and what about the hundreds of thousands of innocent people Christian nations have killed in Iraq? And what about you seeing a "golden opportunity for Assyrians" in all this mayhem? Do you think you are the ONLY ones who will "never forget"? While you lost 3000 70 years ago...Iraq lost over 3700 LAST MONTH!

And what is happening today in the North.

...you're LUCKY the Kurds are up there protecting the Christians there...if not for them the Shi'aa and Sunni madness...fuleled by the United States would move up there.

We are loyal people, we will remain loyal to the country, we fully support a new united democratic Iraq, with its undivided integrated border, INTACT. Peace, security and freedom for all its citizens.

..these are your WISHES! They are hardly binding or even meaningful anywhere else. In your new democratic Iraq a SHI'AA majority is in power...and just as in EVERY democracy on earth the majority rules..if they want to DEMOCRATICALLY take away all your rights..they can do it..and no international LAW can stop them....we aren't talking about what is RIGHT...no nation concerns itself with that..we're talking about what nations DO and have DONE....Iraq doesn't have the background to run the kind of democracy you want...they'll run the kind the United States first had..where minorities and even the majority women of the total population were denied basic rights AND equal rights...this is how all democracies started.

No exception, wherever you live. East/West/South and North. We hope by now, you will perfectly understand, and admit where we are coming from.

...I KNOW where you're coming from...you are coming from church...you think the political disguise you place over Jesus will get you some special rights as a Christian minority..it won't work..if the Shi"aa majority decides to rule by Sharia Law...you will have to LIVE by that Law...the Mormons in the United States get no special consideration for THEIR brand of Christiaity...the basic rule in ALL nations is that the Law of The Land must be obeyed..and thanks to the United States the law of Iraq might well be Sharia Law...and they have every LEGAL right to enforce their laws as any other nation has,,,unless you think America will go to war to protect you...or hasn't THAT wish of yours already evaporated?

In closing, we would like to be recognized, given the opportunity we deserve, by the representative we have choosen through the country's official election in december,2005.

..only a fraction of you chose him...just because ten out of 1000 voted for him and no one else got more votes, doesn't mean he represents the rest of them..the vast majority said NO to your representative..how ELSE could they say "no" to the lot of them but by NOT voting for them?...he can go ahead..but he hardly "speaks for them". He can do nothing or take any position contrary to what the majority will allow him to take..he isn't the Tyrant of Iraq...he is one very small voice who can be ignored with impunity. He knows it if you don't and to feather his own bed in Iraq he will do NOTHING to jeopordize his standing or reduce his opportunities...that's why half of you are cursing him even as half of you are praising him...the cursing-half SEE that he will and can do nothing...the praising-half still has FAITH that he can and will.

..you were always recognized as IRAQIS and as Christians..what was NEVER recognized was your claim to being the ONLY allowable and exclusive Assyians BASED on a Jewish religion from ISRAEL..that is ridiculous...you were allowed to live freely as Iraqi citizens suffering all the injustice and benefitting from all the rights open to ALL Iraqi citizens...but you wanted something MORE...you want to be GIVEN a part of the country based on your Christian faith...and that's all it is...ALL Iraqis see themselves as "descended from the Assyrians"..and, as Assyrians, are descended from the "invader", Sargon The Great ... as they are descended from the "invading" Amorites of Hammurabi, so too are they descended from the invading Arabs who happen to have been Muslim...(yet you ONLY object to the invaders who were and are Muslims... that is what your church taught you to do...hate your Assyrian brothers and sisters because they "rejected Christ")... and everyone else who went before and came after..where you got in trouble with Saddam was that you said ONLY Christian Assyrians could make that claim...that myopic, bigoted, priest-induced and opportunistic view is what brought "misery to you"...and you think you'll get away with it NOW...when the Shi'aa and Kurds rule? This is a realistic assessment on your part...on ALL your parts?

We need equal representation in the Central Government of Iraq. Our elected Parliament member is his Excellency: Mr. Younadam Kanna - The Secretary General of Assyrian Democratic Movement (ZOWAA). We reject any other imposed leadership.

...you can reject...accept...wear a dress...eat ice cream...slash your wrists...quit your job...rent a house by the sea...get a sex-change operation...you can do anything and say anything and write anything anywhere you want..it means nothing in Iraq...Kanna knows damn well he's not going to get you an Assyria..he knows it better than anybody...but he's forced by you people tp SAY he will...or he can...because otherwise you'll all call HIS mother a whore and call him a traitor and a sell-out and all the rest of it.

...He's forced to speak out of both sides of his mouth because no one dares tell you the simple realities, so instead...to get your "support", your "leaders" must repeat your fairy tales to you, but only outside of Iraq...do you realize you are now pinning your hopes on the very people(Shi'aa and Kurds) you just said were your greatest ENEMIES because your FRIENDS failed you??? Does this make sense to you?

..never mind what you 'want" or "expect" or "demand" or "deserve"...you were saying all these same things BEFORE the Americans went in with empty promises you bought wholesale.....I'm talking about what you can EXPECT to happen..and if you'd lift your rose-colored blinders and take a good look at what just happened and what is LIKELY to happen again...at all the misery these "hopes" of yours cause the Christians IN Iraq...you'd understand that just WANTING and DEMANDING and feeling you are OWED will not get you anything...but more misery....for THEM!!!
