Magpie opines.... By the way, as you can see from this review, Jews can say they are the indigenous people of Iraq, but some of our own sons tell us Assyrians are NOT. Isn’t that sad? Talk about self-loathing! Thank God for this Jewish writer. ..anyone can "say" anything they want to..look at you, you SAY you are Assyrian! ...anyone living in Iraq for a minimum of 400 years is indigenous to Iraq...this is the definiton of "indigenous" the United Nations goes by...Magpie, of course, can make up her own, since she's getting her master's degree in Sociology and doesn't need to listen to anybody because she KNOWS. ...The Christians of Iraq, the Muslims of Iraq the Jews, Yezidis and Kurds and Turkomen of Iraq are ALL the indigenous people of Iraq...what we're saying is that you are NOT the descendants of the ancient Assyrians...as Christians you've been there past the 400 year cut-off, so you and the Jews and the rest of the people of Iraq are ALL indigenous... ..as far as self-loathing goes...look in the mirror and see all the good reasons you have. --------------------- |
