...as usual we have ignorant louts to deal with who use words they understand not, to speard their lies. parable Main Entry: par·a·ble Pronunciation: \ˈpa-rə-bəl\ Function: noun Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French, from Late Latin parabola, from Greek parabolē comparison, from paraballein to compare, from para- + ballein to throw — more at devil Date: 14th century : example; specifically : a usually short fictitious story that illustrates a moral attitude or a religious principle ...short STORY...not a single line. The PARABLE of the Prodigal Son, for example...but a man who cares so little for the truth will twist words whenever he needs them to serve his purpose...clearly the single-line statement about Jesus coming with a sword is NOT a "parable"..there's no story to it...neither short or long or any kind....but why should that stop Jumblat...he needs to tell a lie and so he defines that statement the way in which it serves his purpose..which is to cover up the fact that Jesus SAID, in plain words and not in a parable, that he has come to bring a SWORD! --------------------- |
