....in his new book he says that Obama has continued the policies of Bush with still no sign of "victory"..... ...no victory? Ask Boeing, ask Halliburton, ask all the rest who have made a killing from killing they, at least, haven't won. ...how does a corporation measure victory? By its bank account...and the wars of Bush and Obama have been HUGE victories in that regard. ...we're still in the Dark Ages when we think of war and victory and defeat...we're still imagining massed armies confronting each other on battlefields...we still think victory brings loot, gold, jewels or some tangible gain for the people who do the fighting and dying and "winning". ...but Eisenhower tried to educate us to the new face of war...of wars against weaker people you none the less build up as dangers to world peace and interplanetary peace etc....and the funds keep flowing. ...when will some "journalist" actually look at the reality and stop talking about military victory...and instead focus on monetary victory....that's the new game in town and it isn't that new...just the ultimate "business" and Capitalist "enterprise" for when you can't sell any more washing machines or soda pop worth the effort. ..If we passed a law that no war corporation could profit from war materiel, other than just pay their costs...you'd see no more wars for "freedom". --------------------- |
