California sued over requiring Sikh inmate to cut beard.

(CNN) -- The U.S. Justice Department is suing the state of California and Gov. Jerry Brown because prison authorities required a Sikh prison inmate to cut his beard.

...they've got the poor bastard in jail...armed guards up his ass, in an eight foot cell day and night and STILL they had to attack him some more. What does this have to do with security...with anti-terrorism, with keeping us "safe"?

Nothing...it has to do with hatred and fear run amuck...it has to do with racism, it has to do with MAKING us more fearful as we make more people hate everything we stand for and do....what we actually stand for, not what we say...what we do. And it's made worse when politicians seek to ride this wave into office and power....that's the inherent danger of democracy; leaders don't "lead"...they follow the lead of the mob that elects them.
