...turned out graduates in surgery who went on to kill and maim great numbers of their patients, that school would be shut down, its staff probably stripped of their teaching credentials if not held criminally liable for gross negligence and worse.

..it would do the president of that medical college no good to point out that over 50% or even 90% of their graduates got it right....that 10% failure rate, when the stakes are the lives, health and well-being of men, women and children, would be totally unacceptable...and the school would be closed as a danger to the community which it supposedly serves.

Only the Church can get away with playing up all the "good" they do....so the hell with those they damage.

Even Pablo Escobar did "good" with his drug earnings.....even the Mafia has decent third cousins. So what? The crime remains the crime.
