responding to an emotional endorsement of Maggie's forum, as opposed to the other "nasty" ones...Magpie has this to say... WOW, Umtaneta, I wrote this on the Meosopotamian forum almost a year ago. Thanks for saving it. I saved it too, just in case I ever needed to post it again. Notice how nothing has changed on any other fourm? They are still the same nazis and thugs. ...if by this she means banning or deleting, then she too is still at that game. We made rules on our homepage that on this forum ANYONE can say what they want without personally attacking each other or using foul language. We try our best not to let those kinds of posts go through, but sometimes it happens because we don't have a staff. The only other thing they cannot do is to post against the Assyrian identity. All such posts will go to the RUBBISH bins. ...this means yoors trooli...my posts must go to rubbish "IMMEDIATELY"..oddly enough, Jassim, Aprim and the rest also have a rubbish bin where the posts THEY don't like go...IMMEDIATELY too! I say, what's the difference? At our thingie we truly and honestly allow anything...anytime. We don't even remove stuff when asked to...and I don't clean up my own posts or remove any of them. The rest of them pay lip service to deomocracy and free speech...they also use "insults" in the braodest possible sense to mean not only bad words, but any idea they can't answer intelligently without resorting to insults of their own. They feel "insulted" when forced to foam at the mouth or sputter foolish rejoinders....so it must YOUR fault they feel "insulted"...by their own actions and words. The day those that try to attack the Assyrian identity can prove the Armenians are no longer Armenians because they turned Christian, or the Greeks are not Greeks anymore because they too accepted Christianity, is the day the Assyrian identity can be up for a debate. Until such time, the Assyrian identity is NOT negotiable. ..if Magpie would allow it I'd be happy to do so. In the first place the other groups she mentions have a country...this makes all the differnece in the world...because the modern so-called Assyrians ALSO have countries...as do the Greeks and Armenians...only their countries are called Iran, Iraq, Syria, Turkey, America, Australia etc. They haven't any Assyria...which would automatically make them Assyrians, by nationality...but we aren't discussing political nationality...we're discussing lineal descent...and in this case no Greek would dare to say he was the lineal and direct descendant of Socretes...yet we claim we are related in that degree to Ashurbanipal. It is this muddling together of disparate characteristics, now meaning religion, now ethnicity and next nationality that keeps these people chasing their tails. The intelligent thing to do is to first define all terms acurately and then select one topic at a time to explore...instead of jumping ship when the planks begin to leak. However their evident fear to do so tells everything you need to know...when someone hangs up the phone you know he or she has nothing more to say. They all say they haven't the time to waste...except you see them wasting plenty...they mean they can't afford to spend it on an area and topic they know ahead of time they cannot sustain. We ban no one because we fear no one and no argument...Muncho recently tried...and no one insulted him, yet after making his first statement he left and hasn't been back since...because he can think of nothing more to say...no deeper points to make except repeat his first line of defense all over again..the same with Magpie who had every chance and courtesy extended to her until she took it on herself to hurl insults at Dr Joseph and then dragged Eden Naby into it...and then left in a huff, as she usually does, when she was treated to only a little of what she was dishing out to others..others who were not here to defend themselves...as she was free to do, if there was anything to defend. The very tone with which Maggie declares that the discussion is OVER and headed to the RUBBISH bin tells you how insecure she is...and not just on this point. Not one of them has even bothered to respond to the observation that all modern Assyrians, before they got sly, ridiculed the idea that there were modern Chaldeans...Aprim and a host of others showed us "proof" that the pope's minions invented the idea that Nestorians were really ancient Chaldeans...the same proof...no, even better proof, exists to show that Europeans also invented modern Assyrians...it's all there in black and white except that Maggie and the rest turn purple with rage when the truth threatens them. Like I always say; my work would be so much more difficult without the blundering goofiness of these people. --------------------- |
