...Americans are the most frightened people on earth....Pakistani girls have more courage than American he-men...they live daily with real threats but manage to get on with life...in all our imperial history we were attacked, on our continent once, and have gone apeshit since...we are scared of everything, except what really threatens us, of course, that's the whole idea of creating an outside boogeyman.....but Jesus, such cowardice!

Turns out all those trillions for defense have resulted in us being more frightened than ever before...a fat lot of good they did....I know the ones who sell us the crap will say but we kept you SAFE, from attacks that never happened, so they're on safe ground claiming that...it's all sales and marketing...

We have our hopes pinned now on drones and soon robot soldiers, so we never have to be AFRAID, so we don't actually have to take personal risk...but, like all the rest of our weapons, these will only increase our enemies and make us even more afraid at which time we'll feel we have to spend even more money and give up even more civil liberties, all in a futile attempt to make us safe from OURSELVES.

...we have met the enemy....it is us.
