...that people cannot see that slamming Islam as the religious and ONLY cause for the political mess in the Mid East, is merely a cover for excusing and making obscure what the West has done there and continues to do.

The corollary to this would be that if there was no Islam, Muslims would be fine with Israel/Palestine and the wars against the people of Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and other Muslim countries...that the ONLY reason possible for Muslim resistance is Muhammad and what he expects.

I suppose Jews were only angry at the Holocaust because Yahwe told them to be. Had there been no direct command from their god to be resentful or hurt, Jews would,or should,have danced into the ovens.

This is so fucking absurd it makes my head ache. And yet this is exactly what Hitchens and Dawkins and Harris and others like them say and BELIEVE. Hitchens, especially, mocks at the idea that Muslims are resentful over United States ACTIONS....it's just their religion which causes hundreds of thousands of parents to weep over their murdered children...murdered in far greater numbers by the United States than Saddam ever IMAGINED killing himself.
