But they are not even Christian according to the western churches. They are called heretics for a reason and the coptic patriarch came out recently and reminded people of that. Ashur mentioned that copts say assyrians won't make it to heaven and then he says they call us "ashuri" but who gives a fuck what someone else calls them. People call them what they call themselves, at least some do, but what does that prove? The same thing with Speed who was a western christian and ashur is obviously not aware that many protestants believe that the anti-christ will be an assyrian, and when I asked them who that would be, they said someone from iraq. So Speed was only going by geography as he knew there was once a place called assyria and it was part of the ottoman empire at that time so he mentions assyrians. He wasn't basing this on evidence but just on geography just like tatian is called the assyrian, not because he was related to shalmanasser but because he was born in what was assyria at one point. Many people were born there over the last 2000 years or more.

They are not assyrian and not even christian apparently and that's according to christians. No wonder they read that silly verse from the gospel and somehow take it to mean that jesus said they will have a country again. If they had read that verse correctly, it says nothing about them or a country, but it's talking about the silly story of jonah and the men of nineneveh and he is saying that those men will rise on the day of judgment and condemn the jews. Nothing about aprim being president of assyria, yet this is what they depend on. Who is lame now.
