....Hitchens is safely out of it but some day if they live long enough, Dawkins and Harris are going to be embarrassed by the kinds of things they said about Islam.

...Harris and Reza had a good debate but Reza was slow in catching Harris out...Harris said that "millions" of Muslims have been radicalized to which Reza quite rightly said that Harris knew little to nothing of the Muslim world of over one and a half billion, but was getting his ideas from....where?

To which Harris cited a Pew Research poll which found that something like 60% of Muslims in non-radical Muslim countries were in favor of using violence....to which Reza made no reply.

But the come-back is that they back violence as the only means that poor Muslims have of dealing with the VIOLENCE sent their way by the West. Again, this has nothing to do with religion...Palestinian Muslims would hate the French if the French did to them what the Israelis have done...has nothing to do with hating Judaism.

Look at how radicalized the United States got after 9/11...after just ONE attack against its soil and people...we went ape shit on the WRONG country...but we didn't care...people in Times Square were saying drop Nukes on ALL Muslims....is that a religious point of view or a desire for revenge?

Muslims are using violence because violence was brought to them, when they had done nothing to deserve it, except for our ally Saudi Arabia...but Iraqis certainly did nothing...

This is what destroys the "Islam is out to get us" argument every time...it is the utter failure to find a single instance in the last 200 years when Islam attacked us...not one...so that if they have "attacked us" now, it must be because something unusual happened to them, something brought to them by us...and we know what it was...the illegal and immoral war based on lies against Iraq...plus the ongoing support for the Fascist regime in Israel.

It took someone of Hitchens's stature to even TRY to present a case for Muslims "always out to get us"...but he just smeared more crap on his reputation with his silly argument that Algerian pirates kidnapped American sailors, THEREFOR Islam had declared "war" on us long ago.

Britain alone stole 3 million Africans into slavery before the United States got into the act, and we stole a few million more...yet Hitchens doesn't mention this...he is only angry over white Americans being enslaved...but even that wasn't because of Islam any more than our millions of African slaves were because of the bible..but hold on, the bible DOES allow slavery...so it is OUR religion which mandates slavery...the Algerian pirates were simply doing what all pirates do....they STEAL.

What was our excuse...were we a nation of Pirates?
