You brought up some points and I like to touch on them. Trying to get an understanding of you. I can usually read between lines and I get the impression you don't believe what you write but do so maybe out of enjoyment or to spice things up. But I may be wrong so you can correct me. First, you mentioned torture and I assume you view it as a bad thing just as I do, and you condemned Saddam for it, but what about the US which also does that? Why not condemn both and especially the US since they the "good" guys and Saddam was a brutal Arab? It is admitted and well known that US has torture places and has used all kinds of horrible torture to get info out of people. You may say those are bad guys or terrorists, and the only proof you have is the US saying it. But why are the people tortured by the US seen as bad guys while those tortured by Saddam are automatically victims? The US has never proven any of its claims and accusations against Saddam but what we do know for a fact is that the US sanctions murdered 600,000 Iraqi children under the age of five. Saddam never killed even 500 children but UN admitted that many children had died at least, and that's only under the age of five. Saddam killed people you say, but the US has killed far more people. You agreed that Saddam was backed by the US in 79 but you don't believe he was picked for their interests so what for then? Some of the atrocities they mention against Saddam(all from 80s) were done when he was their friend and was backed by them. And why is it only oil rich countries who don't have a western backed dictator that are attacked or "helped"? Why not Egypt, Bahrain, Saudi, and the Yemeni govt? The US used the revolts in teh Arab world to attack Libya and assassinate Gaddafi. They didn't go to help Libyans but to put an end to the gold dinar, take the oil and privatize everything, and not to forget they wanted to put an end to the united states of Africa. Gaddafi was under no obligation to step down because the west demanded so and the people were killed because they were in favor of him. You can't convince me 8 months of bombings didn't kill tens of thousands of people. Those "rebels"(which were mostly foreigners anyway) could not have lasted even a week. These weren't ordinary rebels and there is much more to this. The only people who hated Gaddafi in Libya were radical Muslims(they not human anyway) and a few of the supporters of the dictator Idris. Just last month over 1,3 million Libyans appeared in Tripoli alone in support of Gaddafi and this was already when Libya was on its last string. Iraqis were already celebrating when Saddam wasn't even officially gone but Libyans still fighting the occupation and still showing support for Gaddafi. You see my friend, I trust independent writers, speakers, journalists and othe professionals more that I do the media journalists who aren't free and have their stories prepared for them. Nobody except the fools still watch the US media. It's the job of the US to prove the things they claim and not the other way around. They have never shown any evidence for any claims they have made. Gaddafi nor Saddam went tens of thousands of miles away to attack innocent people like the west does and especially the US. If America cares so much for people, why not take care of its own? Why they "help" people elsewhere but not their own? there are 4 million homeless in America and many of them are not even mentally there, yet they on the streets. You see them sleeping on concrete, eating out of trash, talking to themselves and standing right by 5 star restaurants where wealthy Christians are stuffing themselves. Yopu don't see something wrong with that? There were no homeless in Iraq, Libya and other countries. America has huge problems but it does not care because it isn't people who matter and the wars are only for profit and for the interests of a tiny few. America starved Iraqis and killed them by the millions. I can prove that and the stats are given by the same who did it. The numbers could even be higher since they are given by the guilty but I settle with what they give. While America was killing Iraqis by the thousands, Saddam was selling oil on black markets to feed the people. This was condemned and called "illegal" by Christians but starving people to death is not bad? I know I jumped from point to point and I hope I didn't throw you off as I am in a hurry but I like to know what you have to say and what you think. I been enjoying the talk and looking for more. --------------------- |
