...Magpie explains that her readers asked for the "filtering system" in which a moderator reads what everybody writes and sees if it's okay for the world to see...and all of this because they felt "insulted"...mostly by me. Like I said, these people frustrate THEMSELVES! They wanted to form a MILITIA...all I did was show them that they can't handle an "insult"..let alone any REAL insults..in the form of, say, hot lead. And, as usual, they proved me right. Now, did that bit of insight inspire them to take military training, or beef up their courage and sense of self-confidence so they wouldn't be prone to falling apart at the sight of insults??? No...it made them want to REMOVE what insults them...do they think it will be so easy to remove Kurds and Arabs and all the "enemies" they have? They're angry because I burst their bubble and showed them to be what they are...loud mouths filled with hot air and grandiose images of themselves as the descendants of Ashurbanipal..and to help make my case even stronger, Magpie went and catered to THEM..which is what we ALWAYS do and have done, i.e. we cater to the WORST among us...for fear of alienating them...and when we secure their "loyalty"..what have we actually done except make yet another safe-haven for fools and cowards and blow-hards...which is what we REFUSE to do at our forum...and get blamed by Magpie for not being popular..in the sense that we make a safe place for every jackass to bray from.

In Response To: Maggie, why my post are subject to admin approval? (SOS)

SOS,

I have been on vacation and just got back late last night. I also have visitors from out of town which I must host and take care of now for a few days till I leave for Chicago. I put a moderator in charge of this forum while I was gone. The poor guy cannot be expected to be glued to the computer 24/7. He tries his best, but I'm sure he also has a life.

I did what ALL of you asked me to do which was to not allow people to "insult" you, so we went to the filtering system, which means people's messages are not going to go through in real time, but someone has to actually post them for you, after you have submitted them.

Forgive us if it takes a little longer to get your messages posted, but be sure we are not doing what you are accusing us of. Everyone is in the same boat, including me. My messages take longer to get posted than any of you. So please, don't be so paranoid and think we are having to "approve" your posts before we post them.

Besides, I asked you all if you would rather register in order to be able to post in real time, which was another option we had. Only Dr. Simon sent me an e-mail telling me he was willing to register, the rest of you did not respond. If we use the registration method, as they do at Beth Suryoyo, you would have to identify yourselves, before you are able to post. I will not reveal your actual identities, in any way, shape or form if we go to the registration method.

We still have that option, but we have to take a vote and see if that's what the majority prefer.

Wating to hear from all of you.

In the meantime, SOS, you are more than welcome to be one of the moderators, if you would like to see more than one person doing this job, and if you think it will speed things up for your posts.

Just don't come back and tell me you are too busy, because we all are, but still we put in our share of work. If we had three moderators things would be a lot more efficient.

I'm paying for the website and the forum, but still need help, because I can't "do it all."

Would you like to volunteer?
