...watching him answer a woman who said she was of no religion but resented the way he was misrepresenting Islam...he said Islam was spread by the sword...for ONCE Iīd like someone who says that to give an EXAMPLE! Because Muslim armies conquered a territory did not mean they did so to convert people, they were conquering new lands as EVERYONE did...yes, they FOUGHT the other army with a SWORD, thatīs what they did in those days...but the fact that many of the conquered, especially Christians, wound up converting to Islam does mean they converted BY the sword, by the same sword that was used to beat the other army.....as intelligent and well-read as Harris and the rest are, they have yet to give an example, one example, of when Islam did what we all know Christians did REGULARLY....there is no instance that I know where Muslims did what Charlemagne did in beheading 4500 Saxons in one afternoon who refused baptism...if there was ONE such incident, Harris would wear it on his head in neon letters......one example...just one...or else stop saying it!!! --------------------- |
