Another horrific tale about what religions can make decent people do....

Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN)An 18-year-old Pakistani schoolteacher died Wednesday from injuries after her body was set on fire for refusing a marriage proposal, police said.
The perpetrators beat Maria Abbasi, then drenched her in petrol and set her body ablaze before leaving her for dead, her family members told CNN.

...before gnashing your teeth at Islam remember that burning people alive lit up Christian towns for a few centuries. Christians once committed all the crimes Islam now does so we hardly have a leg to stand on when it comes to pointing the finger at stupid and deadly religions...sure, we're the "older" person here and we put such things behind us, and Islam needs to do so also.

And it wasn't Christianity which stopped its bloodthirsty ways all by itself but less "devout" or atheistic Christians who did the deed...left to itself Christianity would STILL be burning people alive and worse.

It's no worse to be burned alive for refusing a marriage proposal than it was to be burned alive for refusing Jesus, or being a "witch". Barbarism is barbarism.
