...in the spirit of the recent petition drive to get the city of San Francisco to clean the bird shit from the Ashurbanipal Monument, because "in these times especially" the Assyrian people need to maintain their pride...I am circulating a petition asking Maggie to take down her site "speakassyria.org"...and for the same reason...at a time like this we don;t need an empty site, with no posts or anything, especially since it has such noble-sounding goals...goals which apparently motivate or excite no one....for weeks and months there has been virtually no activity of any kind...so, what's it for?

It's for the usual REAL Assyrian motive: self-aggrandizement. Maggie would have to admit a kind of defeat and she doesn't want to do that. It's always and all about appearances, never substance. And the result is, of course, the exact opposite of what the words SAY....Assyria looks dead, her version of it...and keeping that empty site open only reinforces that fact.

If she had not stooped to the usual banning and deleting of posts she didn't like, or some of her readers wrote complaining about, today there would be at least some activity....Assyrians defeat themselves, always.
