...the comparative toll of religious violence has been strongest, by far, among Christians.

In 100 years how many people have Muslims attacked, bombed and killed....and how many deaths have been brought to us by Christianity?

One million dead in the Iran/Iraq war, which still has a heavy Christian hand behind it...what else? When the Turks fought in WW I they were fighting against the ATTACKS of Christian nations....and even then, how many did they manage to kill...what else? Where is there an equivalent World War among Muslims...where is a Korean war...where is a Vietnam war...where are instances of Muslims starving Christian children...of attacking Christian nations half-way round the world? The Christian toll is close to 100 million dead...by far and away greater than the numbers killed by Muslims...and yet, of course, Christianity is the religion of peace.

Hitchens was not a Christian himself, but he was on the Christian "side"...he came out of Christian teaching and culture...he doesn't see his side as the bad one because it's HIS side....he's betting on the home team against the "challengers"...who dare to fight back and not roll over.
