Dr Joseph is an accredited historian...also a scholar, also an academic, also a professor emertius,...these terms all MEAN something....they can't be skipped over or avoided in a rush to write history as one pleases, or as pleases one's group.

We have many assyrian doctors who have had to undergo serious training....almost always at the hands of OTHER people, not fellow assyrians. The standards have been high, the training rigorous and the expectations very high....no one got a medical degree by practicing surgery in his basement...on his free time....no one thought that reading medical books in his living room qualified one to doctor people....you can get thrown in jail for turning yourself into your own definition of a doctor.

But, aside from Dr Joseph, we have yet to produce one other, qualified historian and academic and scholar...not one. In this field, as respected in the world as medicine, we behave like a bunch of idiots...the equivalent, in medicine, would be our being satisfied with witch doctors and voodoo practioners in place of medical doctors. Fortunately we aren't quite that stupid....but in History, we are THAT stupid....and prowd of it too!

Dr Joseph is the real thing...the rest of the assyrians who write history, as they prefer it, are not. In this field, supposedly so important to us, we settle for witch doctors and Voodoo. And everyone laughs at us....behind our backs.
