...the idea that no assyrian should be asked to prove his claim is as absurd as that no Christian has to prove the existence of his fantastic water-walking god...both are merely opinions, fables and unprovable....therefore exist in the land of fable, along with Jack and the Beanstalk. It is preposterous to claim that Assyrians survived, pure AND Christian all the way from 4000 years ago....maybe Aborigines in Australia could maintain their ethnic purity for that long...but not people living in Mesopotamia, a crossroads of cultures from both East and West from since Time began. And any Greek today who laid claim to the Parthenon, based on his contention that his ancestors once owned the land it is built upon, who then refused, indignantly too, to provide any evidence except to say "I know who I am and what is owed me", would be laughed at THEN arrested. --------------------- |
