Since you feel compelled to enter the Mar Bawai vs. the Synod argument, you must realize you have to compare leader to leader. ...what's a synod? For that matter what's a Mar Bawi? Abraham Lincoln was the president of the US ...who told you? Mar Dinkha is the patriarch of the Church. ..who told him? Mar Bawai is a bishop that was exiled by the leader of the church. ..okay Thus, Mar Bawai is to Mar Dinkha as William Seward is to Abraham Lincoln ...It's good of you to come play over here but this is a game of your own making...I was never a party to it. If you want to compare these people the way you chose to, go ahead. If you want to compare what Seward said to Mar Bawai, by all means go ahead. ...did they know each other? But if you want to compare Lincoln's sayings to an Assyrian Church member then its either Mar Dinkha (which you can only compare if Lincoln talked about raising chickens, cows, and honeybees) or to our previous engaging Patriarchs like Mar Shimoon Ishaya, Benyamin. ...do you know what you're trying to say? I hope this clarifies things to you, since we are sick of this church crisis and confusion of the outfits involved will only make it worse. ...didn't clarify anything...my statement was a comparison of general principles...there was no need to drag people from their graves to introduce them to each other...without the firewroks then...dividing makes you weaker...that was the point of Lincoln's statement...but it is an observation that could have been made by anybody...Mar Bawi is dividing the church...albeit a church that's already divided...but he's dividing it some more....things that divide don't stand up as well...that's all Lincoln was saying. ..as far as being sick of church things I think on the contrary you are all madly in love with your churches and your Christian religion...the very first division you people made did all the damage necessary...Lincoln wasn't refering to divisions in the Union AFTER it divided..he was refering to any division IN THE UNION...you all divided away from Ashur...from that day forward it was a foregone conclusion that you would divide again and again...and you have...right up to Mar Bawi. I'm just gateful to Mar Bawi for helping me make my point...that you people divide and divide while all calling for unity and claiming that Christianity, your FIRST division, "saved" you...well...take a look and see how it's "saving" you...and do you think after Mar Bawi others won't want to divide...since you all started dividing after that first division..away from Ashur? ...Don't you people admit that Abgar divided from Ashur because Jesus cured him? If you're going to choose your "faith" on the basis of which one delivers the goods better...you'll go on shopping around..and that's EXACTLY what's been happening for the last 2000 years...and that's EXACTLY what Mar Bawi has done again....once a traitor to your soul is enough...after that everything is just show. BTW its upsetting what politics did to the Hammurabi Monument. Its a shame we couldn't save it. We need to stop these politics, from church to our artifacts. But that does not mean we dont support those who on the track of truth, unity, and justice. Keep going forward... ...always....but it's made difficult by all these delusions...we have no "politics"...we have no "culture" outside the church..and the vast majoruty want NOTHING to do with anything Assyrian that hasn't first been bleached Christian. --------------------- |
