It´s truly wonderful how this issue is exposing the rats and cockroaches that hide in the American psyche.....the following except ends an article a friend referred me to...that fact that it sounds reasonable, almost, makes a good bullshit detector.

But it is also true that honest, freedom-loving Muslims should be the first to view their fellow Muslims somewhat differently. At this point in human history, Islam simply is different from other faiths. The challenge we all face, Muslim and non-Muslim alike, is to find the most benign and practical ways of mitigating these differences and of changing this religion for the better."

And who "should be the first to view" Christians differently (including those who use Christ to mask their racism and bigotry, like this fellow), if not "honest freedom-loving" Christians? So, where is the condemnation of the Christians who are behind the Rapure and this global war against poor dark people of different faiths? If we can tolerate them in our midst...if we can allow them to build their garage madrassahs and use our tax dollars to do it, raising hordes of Chriustian soldiers for future Jihads...if Christians can tolerate and fund these kinds of Christians, who have killed far more people than Islam ever did, then why can´t we tolerate all sorts of Muslims?

It is not because of our Christian religion that a faction of Islam has declared war on us with their puny means and raggedy clothes but because of what we Christians have DONE...we forget that it is and has been Christians who´ve killed people JUST for their religion...like 70 years ago when millions of innocent and unoffending Jews were put to death simply because they were Jews...can anyone, anyone at all, show where anything even approaching this been done by Muslims...anyone? Palestininas are not furious with Israelis for their Jewish religion but because of what Israelis are DOING to them...they would be just as angry if men from Marsa were doing this, or the French etc.

It is ONLY Christians who have hated and killed people for their religion alone. Islam is killing people it believes support the rape and plunder of their families and homnes...as this Christian nation has been doing to people from its inception...think Korea and Vietnam and etc and etc. When has Islam done anything even close to this?

...yes, it is indeed ironic that the German government chose only to shut down a mosque but has allowed the Churches who taught and raised up the Nazis to stay in business all these years.

..the day the Germans and their American cousins begin to treat all people with tolerance and not wage wars against innocent civilians who happen to be Muslims, or to have been Jews, will be the day they can lecture anybody on tolerance and fairness.

This mosque in particular MUST remain right where it is if only to test the Constitution´´s relevance and staying power. It is the most important building in America today, as important as the Lincolm Memorial ever was. And every American Christian Jew and Muslim must speak out against the crimes their country is committing against innocent people the world over which it then tries to justify because those same people tried desperately and ineffcetively to defend themselves and their families....this is the oldest Christian trick; to rape someone and then grow indignant and weepy with self-righteousness that THEY dared "scratch out the eyes" of their rapist.
