As we all know, after April 09, 2003 (after the collapsing of the Saddam's regieme), we had a golden opportunity to get a BIG" piece of the Iraqi "PIE",

...we "all know" this? How? In what way? With what? Just by removing Saddam...the opportunity magically appeared? If I ask this directly of the fellow, when Magpie wasn't hiding him, and if he couldn't come up with an explanation..he'd say I just "insulted" him.

but again our political parties failed our people big time!!!

...How? What could they have done to not fail? What power did they have? How could they have enforced their demands? You really think that with a coalition of Christian nations killing their people, Iraqis would have given their onw Christians something BIG TIME?

So, what do we do now? What other alternative vision/strategy we must pursue?

..what was your vision/strategy THEN? All I remember was ablind "faith" and "hope" that America would GIVE you the protection and guarantees you've been believing foreigners would give you for decades...was that a "strategy"...to kiss and lick balls...in "hopes of"...?

As you may know, after April 09, 2003, the Iraqi people's mentality has shifted from beliveing in the "ARAB NATION" to "IRAQI NATION".

...we do? Do you? Who told you this?

In another words, generally speaking, Iraqis are discovering their "TRUE" roots (i.e., their attachment to their forfather's such as Assyrians, Sumerians, babylonians, akkadians etc.. etc..)..

...what???? They knew of it perfectly well BEFORE the war...they have NEVER denied it! All they manintain is that no Christian has an exclusive on that heritage...and, they also respect and revere their history under Islam, unlike you.

Here one may ask, what role we must play as "Assyrians" to fit in the overall "Iraqi Political Process"?

...none. Mostly because you aren't Assyrians...also because no Iraq will give you any special consideration for your claims. To them it is far more important that you be loyal citizens of Iraq, when it was Iraq...and now of Kurdistan, if you choose to live there. As Christians, which is all they see you as, you have no unique role..no special status...at all. Haven't you learned that yet?

Shall we stay away in isolation "Each in their own trench" and nobody knows what the other party is doing?? or shall we start a "National Dialouge" with major key players in the Iraqi political process?

...none of them want to talk to you...you represent nothing...you have no power and, most damning of all...you are paying tax dollars and praying for this WAR.

I think the latter is the right answer. WE MUST GET OUR ACTS TOGETHER, INITIATE A DIALOUGE WITH OTHER IRAQI POLITICAL PARTIES AND BE AN ACTIVE PARTCIPANT IN THE PROCESS WHERE OUR RIGHTS AND DEMAND FOR AT LEAST ESTABLISHING AN ASSYRIAN PROVINCE (IN NOHADRA AND NINEVEH PLAINS) MUST BE MET AS INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF IRAQ.

...dream on. I hope you try it...you've BEEN trying with disasterous results...I have a feeling Magpie has annointed herself the one to bring all parties together...this should be good. Of course you know what the outcome will be..she will merely damn all parties to HELL for not seeing things her way.

The above are my personal thoughts.. !! Again as an Indpendent Assyrian who has NO affiliation to any Assyrian political party..I am willing to listen to your opinion, cemments, feedback.. Cheers.. to all..

...as a Christian using the ancient Assyrians to further your religious goals...you will be skinned alive if you dare enter Iraq with these kinds of ideas...why do you think the Christians INSIDE Iraq and their "leaders" make none of these demands...and only you, who are outside and STILL nervous as hell about being INSULTED, are making them? Have Magpie go THERE and pull this stuff!
