...along with getting us to focus on Islam as the real culprit, and not our own actions, the West has spread the lie that Sunnis and Shias were ALWAYS at each other throats...that US policy and selective support of tyrants has nothing to do with it.

And yet, where is the historical evidence for Sunni/Shia wars? Where? There's plenty of evidence, and common knolwedge, of the murderous wars of Catholics and Protestants and Protestants and Orthodox and Catholic and Orthodox....millions killed, whole nations ravaged...it's in all the history books...once again, Christians are trying to smear Muslims with THEIR shit.

Where are the wars between Sunni and Shia mentioned in the historical record?

I'd ask Beth-Shlimon but I don't think I'll live long enough to hear from him.
