...at the end of the many informative and authoritative posts you've placed here we see Minime comming right after you with a variation of, "oh yeah, stupid?" Or, "you're so stupid"...or, "BOY, are YOU stupid"...etc.

..if you want to know why he does this and why this consititutes a
"response" to him and is his "Best shot", just consider that this is basically how all of them started out. The Church, whatever else you may think of it, was undoubtedly the only source of education and scholarship just before Martin Luther...the higher clergy were among the most learned men of their day....universities, philosophers and most higher culture had all been wiped out in the barbarian invasions and the Dark Ages, when the Church reigned supreme. Church officials may have been talking nonsense but it was the most educated nonsense of its day...against them rose a few monks here and there, not very educated themselves but full of fire and vigor and zeal....for Martin Luther the response, "oh yeah, stupid?" was basically what he had to say to the pope and all the doctors of the church, the only "educated" class of its day.

,,and these Protestants have pretty much remained the same...they see themselves as divinely guided by a secret or inner understand of scripture, opposed by "stupid-people-with-degrees-from-Univesities-and-all-those-libraries-and-dictionaries, fuck you"...the very first Protestants had no universities, no libraries...often they were chased out of their churches and homes, forced to hide in the woods or cower in seclusion away from the pope's police...they lived in constant fear of their lives, harrased, insecure, suspicious but upheld in all their trials by their fierce conviction that THEY and only they had the TRUE Word, the only knowledge or education that counted.

..and that's exactly what you have in Minime. It's the reason these people STILL distrust education and dictionaries...why they STILL believe that there's an inner light shining within that makes books and knowledge and all other such worldy achievements not only useless, but signs of the DEVIL...because at one time their adversary, whom they called the anti-Christ and "Spawn of the Devil" was the Pope, with all his books and manuscripts and universities and learned clerics...they took PRIDE in their ignorance and finally in their stupidity, which to them was proof, from God, that they didn;t NEED to know anything...because they were his chosen darlings...in fact, they grew to be suspicious of learning and knowledge and to distrust anyone who was accomplished because they were taught that these were mere tricks with which the clergy tried to confuse and confound the TRUE believers, such as Minime,,,which is the reason the poor fool does so badly in any conversation where logic and reason and thinking for oneself are called for.....in place of any of this "modern nonsense", he shouts and swears and burns with an idiotic fervor he believes shows that he has been Chosen.

Which is also why he loves to be spit upon and kicked around the block...because he belives it make him CLOSER to Jesus...his reasoning, or training rather, being that Jesus was "persecuted"...so when I slap him around HE is being persecuted too, just like his Lord was. That's also the reason they keep insisting that THEY have been persecuted "like Jesus" was...when no one persecuted Jesus either...he plied his trade and when he took to preaching the Romans left him alone until be broke their laws and then they PROsecuted him...the same with our nationalists who are merely religious fanatics in poor "assyrian" disguise...they too roar that Saddam PERsecuted them when he did no such thing...they, like Jesus(in this regard at least) were PROsecuted for breaking laws, that's all. Jesus, and they, were merely criminals, not martyrs. Unless you want to call everyone who knowingly breaks laws a martyr just because he gets the punishment mandated by the law of the land.

It's very very easy to understand these people once you realize they see stupidity as a sign that they have been Chosen by their Lord...while education and the ability to handle oneself in any sort of intellectual trial is just that ol devil-stuff the Pope once used to confuse them and overawe them with...against which their "fervent stupidity" proved SUPERIOR.

it's quite fascinating actually.

Watch...we'll get more monkeys and virgins in "response".
