A relative of mine went to a museum and saw the Assyrian articrafts. He touching them and the security member told him not to touch them. The response my relative gave was "these are my ancestors and they belong to me". I thought that was silly too because he assumes they belong to him since they were found in historic Assyria and he happened to be born there.
