...we supposedly got and how dedicated our nation is to education, it keeps saying...and then consider how many news sources and politicians and pundits and experts expect us to believe the fairy-tale lies and preposterous explanations they give us for what is plain as day before our eyes. In Italy you can get your PhD paid for by government, costing you a whopping $500 for the WHOLE thing....so people study courses and get degrees in things they can't possibly get a JOB in....is that foolish? Why? They get EDUCATED...they LEARN...they are challenged and exposed to things they would never hear of if they just went to work all their lives....isn't it good for a nation to have an educated populace? Admittedly the Italians seem just as inept when it comes to choosing politicians. I doubt any other Western nation has as many professors from Cameroon, of Pakistan, or India teaching in its colleges and universities....that's because in those countries you don't sign your life away when you go for advanced degrees....in our country who can afford a PhD? At Irvine my daughter could barely understand half of her professors their English was so poor. One even told her to stop using "too many words"...meaning he couldn't understand them. Where oh where will be in 20 years? --------------------- |
