...makes one think thereīs something fishy going on...anyone charged with denying either genocide should have to submit a concise statement as to what, in particular, he objects to and what evidence he can bring to bear...in the case of the Hollocaust...what can anyone say except they donīt believe it...as Moynihan said, "we are all entitled to our own opinions, but not to our own facts" indefense of those opinions....people canīt just "believe" that the Holocaust never took place...it isnīt a matter to be settled by Faith....there has to be hard evidence..or at least proof that the claims for a Holocaust are based on bogus facts...or other facts are being left out in order to force a conclusion...

None of this is true or can be shown where the Holocaust and the Genocide of Jews by Christians is concerned...howevere there are plenty of questions, false documents and out and out distortions as well as mitigated circumstances where claims of an Armenian genocide by the Turks is concerned, the most glaring of which is that there was no systematic hunt of Armenians everywhere in the Empire by the Turks....but that Armenians and other Christians continued to live in safety in other parts of the Ottoman Empire.

It is not that prejudice makes us not want to accept that there was an Armenian gencoide..itīs that facts, not opinions, but facts donīt support the claim. Iīm willing to abide by the law and deny the Armenian genocide outright...but Iīm not willing to suspend my reason and judgement where the supposed evidence exists...and ignore all those things that raise doubts and legitimate concerns that a Christian railroad is attempting push through, by shear force and threats of legal consequences what may well be yet another attack by Christians against those of a different Faith...last time it was Judaism, this time it is Islam and that this drive to convict Turkey is nothing more than sel-righteous Christian accusations against a religion they obviously do not like.

I wonīt challenge the Armenian genocide claims...but Iīll be god damned if Iīm not going to challenge the EVIDENCE for it...besides which, it is incumbant on those making such claims to prove them and not on those who are accused to prove themselves innocent...no one disputes that horrors were committed on ALL sides and that Christians were killed by Muslims...but so too were Muslims killed by Christians....finally, it is the duty of those who claim genocide to show us that the survival and lack of molestation of vast numbers of Armenian Turkish citizens during the war does not contradict the accusation of genocide...seems to me that if a government wants to wipe out a group of people within its control and has 700 years to do it...and then four more, and yet fails to do so or even attempt it in any serious way, as evidenced by the survival of Christians for all those centuries up to an including the war years, and after and until today, that there was no genocide.

I challenge the evidence of those making this claim...not the claim. They can claim anything they like...and I can demand to see the evidence and decide...so far their evidence is unconvincing...letīs see who can maintain the same about the Christian genocide of Jews and make his case....I remain neutral, willing to hear both sides out with no prejudice one way or the other except against untruths...so far Iīve seen no argument to explain away the survival of vast numbers of Armenians throughout the empire and how this is NOT proof that there was no genocide by the government of Turkey.
