...really, how many "mistakes" of such magnitude, do you allow before you doubt? We already knew from Korea and Vietnam that you don;t win wars against entire populations...against an army, yes....but not against an entire people...not even the Nazis managed that. ...what the hell do we think Eisenhower was warning us about? Mistakes? No...he saw the beginning of war-time capitalism....of corporations realizing that war is bigger bucks than anything else and that the US Treasury is the greatest treasure of them all...because it is a bottomless money-pit. ..this had happened before in America where Native Americans were concerned...there is ample evidence that army suppliers together with newspaper/land developer/business interests, stirred up fear among whites of impending massacres...just so they could steal more land but also make a bundle on supplying the military....nothing too new here. It isn't such a stretch to go from making good money when there is a war to making a war in order to make good money. Hardly a "conspiracy theory"...just sound business. If Madoff can steal from friends and charities and Wall Street can rob widows and orphans, what's so unthinkable in corporate types fomenting hatred and urging wars they know they can easily win, against inept armies EQUIPPED by the United States, and a civilian population...starting with children under five? Where's the risk? Where else is there such a gain? --------------------- |
