...Gringos are worried about the level of violence in Mexico...they don;t much care about Mexicans killing Mexicans...it's Mexicans killing them they worry about. I try to confirm their fears every chance I get so they stay away...but a friend made an interesting observation...he said the real issue is how many Americans are getting killed in Mexico, not how many people are being killed.....last week three people were killed in a drive-by shooting down the way from here and another eight or nine the same week in a hair salon near Los Angeles....and that's just in California, never mind the rest of the country.

It would seem then that it's far more dangerous to be a Gringo in America than a Gringo in Mexico...in fact, Americans should move away from America if they're worried about their safety.

Each year some 12,000 Americans are shot to death....I doubt two Americans have been shot dead in Mexico in the last five years...and they were more than likely of Mexican origin and involved in the drug trade.

...no one is out hunting Americans in Mexico, but they are in America.

You want to protect yourself from gun violence, move to Mexico, or Cuba, or Italy, or anywhere. It's in America that you're in danger.
