...do you mean to say that the story in Genesis says "...why it is here in the first place"??? I mean "the universe". really? GENESIS is your idea of an explanation of how it got here "in the first place"? Amazing.

...take any one of the ten thousand "how it all got here" explanations religions have come up with from a God vomiting, to a God fornicating, to a huge crow flying in with the universes in its beak...and you mean to tell me that these things EXPLAIN anything at all about how the universe came into existence...or why? And that science will NEVER do any better??? Really? I mean that...REALLY???

...go on, dance on the head of a pin.

...1000 years ago you would have said, "Science can't tell us what causes disease, therefore we know that God is the cause".

...and there was a time, like most of recorded history, when science could NOT "tell us about how the universe functions"...and back then you would have ridiculed science for attempting to "cross over into the realm of Gods, where it does not belong"....fortunately scientists didn't listen and went on questioning and experimenting, often with the executioner and Church over their shoulder.

...at every stage of this greatest of all experiments, you god-people have been standing in the way, jeering and insulting and threatening because we were encroaching on YOUR god-preserve without ever ONCE considering that YOU were blocking OUR path with your gods and angels and demons!!!

...pisses and farts!!!
