So I'm having a conversation at work with a Vietnam vet who has a son that's on duty in Iraq. He was pissed because his son was promised her could come home for the holidays but now he is sitting in the barrack in Kuwait and waiting to go to Afghanistan. I wanted to get into this man's mind and see where his thinking is so I reminded him that Bush had said it was gonna be "quick in and out" ut it has been almost a decade now. He tells me that these things never go as planned and the only way you make it quick is by nuking them. He said "we should just nuke em and get it over with" and then he says but we are not gonna do that because we have to be the nice guys and play by the rules. I said they wouldn't "nuke em" because there is oil in that region plus Israel is also there. He said if he was Israel he wouldn't listen to anyone in Washington and would bomb everybody and it has a right to defend itself against the "A-rabs." I was puzzled at how he had no problem nuking people as if they are not humans like him. This is a man who misses our monthly Sunday propaganda meetings at work because of church. In other words, he is a Christian yet has no problem wiping people off the map. While they tell us how dangerous Iran would be if it obtained nuclear missiles, they don't see the danger in themselves having them. After all, this nation has used atomic bombs and chemical weapons in the past, therefore, it is the US which the world must fear and it is the US which is a global danger and not Iran. It is amazing how these people think and we expect good results and decency from them.
