...as with many things our people don;t understand the English language and don;t seem to think it matters...but as Voltair said, "if you would argue with me, first define your terms".

Allegories, metaphors, symbols and similes go something like this: a writer, or speaker wishes to relate an image of somehting like "human passions". He can discuss the subject directly, even clinically...but sometimes the use of poetic images makes the point clearer..provides an emotional charge that gets the point across better than just a routine analysis or explanation..for instance he might write about a storm at sea, using the image of waves and wild winds as a metaphor for human emotions...or a blazing sun to denote passion or desire...in each case the image used, such as the sun or a storm, is chosen because it relates to human emotions..or passions...the idea is that the image of waves and wild winds conjures up in the mind of the hearer a human equally tossed and whipped about...like foam swirling on the wave tops....

...but what on earth does the choice of humans eating human flesh and drinking human blood, conjure up in any decent person;s mind but the most disgusting spectacle of a crime condemned by most of humanity since we can remember. Where's the connection between cannibalism and Jesus? How can drinking human blood evoke ANY positive images in someone's mind?

..no no...the atempt to call Jesus' words about cannibalism as an allegory won't do. But, if you insist, then it's an allegory for a CRIME...nothing else. There is nothing positive or good that it "stands for".
