The textbook industry is a billion dollar business. I spent over $500 last semester on my books... I did some internet searching and at several universities the teachers write their own text books and give them to the students. Now that's defying the textbook industry-education complex. If I ever become crazy enough to write a text book, I'll sell it at cost.
